Outraged minorities
I am all five of the groups that it is still OK to ridicule.
White, male, Christian, conservative, gun owner.
I don't take it personally because personal attacks usually diminish the attacker and the credibility of their arguments. Also, I am so secure in who I am that these thing bounce off. I do also not take myself so seriously that I cannot laugh at myself
If you are secure in who you are, insensitive comments cannot be hurtful. If you have an emotional reaction to someone's words, the direction to look is inward.
What I would like to see is a positive "culture change" approach to people in "outraged minorities." Shifting the members to be less sensitive and dependent on the approval of others. Unfortunately, there are organizations like NOW and others who's relevance is obtained from outrage and increasing social division.
